Shortly after the V day buffet @ Todai, I met up with Zhen for a Hi Tea Buffet @ Carousel.

Fat. Die. Me.

It was a really belated birthday treat for her (She's just a day younger than me!) but better late than never right? Heh.

We were there just before 3.30pm and there's already a long queue lined outside! Couldn't help but wonder why are these people so chillax? No work on a weekday afternoon? Maybe all on leave. Lol

2nd time here at Carousel for their Hi Tea buffet and still enjoyed it as much as my first!

It totally doesn't seem like we're here for Hi Tea but more like a late lunch. There're so many dishes to go for! Lots of cooked food/seafood/pastry/desserts. A fair spread to indulge in.

Have yet to try the lunch/dinner buffet here but for the Hi Tea, it's still quite worthwhile for the price we're paying.

Pastry corner! I love their scones at the bottom left A LOT. It's so addictive I had to take a few more even though my stomach gave me a last warning. The rest are just normal. Meh.

All of the above were pretty good! Those popiah, laksa, etc.... just not the snow crab. Comparing between Todai and Carousel, the former serves better, fresher snow crabs!

A couple was celebrating the boyfriend's birthday and some of the staffs brought out a small cake and sang a cheerful and loud birthday song for him. A new place to celebrate birthdays spotted!

Dark/White/Normal Chocolate fondue is love! Chocolate lovers are gonna have a good time.

Zhen and I both enjoyed the Hi Tea buffet in Carousel. It's her first time here and she's definitely impressed with the wide variety that was available! Friendly staff, great service and there's 15% off for UOB/DBS credit card holders! Bill was about $60+ for 2. We made full use of the Hi Tea time and stayed throughout the period from 3.30pm-5.30pm. Haha. It'll be nice if they extend the time to 3-6pm!

Saint Valentine's 2012

There has always been much controversy about Valentine's Day every single year without fail. I have to agree that it's totally not worth it to pay twice of what one usually pays, dining at restaurants on such a day. I'll rather dine at somewhere else cheaper and return to those restaurants and pay for the food at normal prices. That meant for more cooking practices in the kitchen! Plenty of passion for cooking, minimal skills :/ Gifts wise has got to be depending on individuals.

Generally speaking, I wonder if guys view V Day similarly as girls do. It does not necessary calls for a lavish celebration but IMHO, effort is the word. It can be as simple as taking the initiative to find a suitable place for a simple dinner together or spending some time together amidst his/her busy schedule from school/work. Gifts are secondary. I'm very certain there're guys who disregard V Day and does not find anything special about this whole 14th Feb crap. It's probably just a Tuesday to them. Or perhaps it's just me!

It's on such days that we do something different and think out of the box, we need such occasions to spice up our life isn't it? It will be boring to spend 365 days without any occasions.

V Day for Hbm & I was a simple affair. It's the time with you that I need most, and you know it.

No matter how cliche it may sound, it's still sweet to receive something and I swear I'll be glad with a stalk. It's the thought that counts! Can't imagine how many poor guys got their carrot heads cut. Heart aches seeing something that costs so much withers in days. It's like putting $100 on the table and it miraculously disappears after a few days.

Be sure to make a trip down to the museum to take a look. Definitely worth your time and the $20 admission fee!

Headed for our buffet dinner next, Todai @ MBS as planned by Hbm.

Overall verdict for the buffet dinner: Quantity - 8/10, Quality - 5/10.

No doubt I was really spoilt for choices; There were plenty of cuisines available, from Italian to Japanese to Korean to Chinese and etc. However, most were just of average standard.

The snow crabs and desserts were the only few that I went for more than once.

And this was when I miss the sumptuous buffet dinner I've had at 10 @ Claymore (during my birthday) so much more. And it was cheaper too!

I was told that I'm always giving the same photocopied smile so, okay lor, something different!

At least some decent desserts to go with after the average mains!

Totally bill came up to about $130 for 2 (and waiver of parking charges with payment via UOB cards). Not as pricey as compared to dinner at places like Triple 3, The Line and etc. It's still an option to go for if you're looking for a buffet dinner with a wide variety of dishes.

Another short update before the upcoming post on Valentine's day!

Spent my last weekend working for Gain City's 'Get IT @ Suntec' show. And I never fail be tempted to get a TV back home every single time that I work for the IT show, especially when LED TVs are so affordable now. But the ironic thing is, I barely sit down to watch TV. Haha!

Ya Kun breakfast w/ hbm before I head for first day of work. Having a good breakfast just kick starts the day right!

Here's a really short update!

It was a one man show last weekend; Andrew invited us over to his house, bought the ingredients and prepared for the steamboat dinner all by himself. Thanks for being such a nice host! :)

Nuggets were so yummeh, everyone ate close to 10pcs when dinner wasn't even ready yet. No joke.

Absolutely love it when festive seasons are near and they're one after another. And this is the period, again. REJOICE!

Just when we've heard the Jingle Bells, it's time to set the fire crackers!
I love Christmas for it's the season of giving, gatherings, gift exchanges, feasting and etc.
I love CNY for it's to feasting (hell yeah, again!), shopping for goodies, reunion dinner, mainly stuffs that you'll do with your family and not to forget the hong baos/red packets! It's not alot though but NO I don't feel old collecting them even when I'm already an adult. Haha.

2 days before CNY, I went for a 'nails makeover'. I was very much looking forward to it after making an appointment 3 weeks in advance. It was a long wait but I shouldn't have gone...

Look, this is nowhere near the standard that I expected, and this $107 could have been well spent in other areas. With. Much. Regrets.

Many did say that it doesn't look as bad but when they saw my nails in real life, their reactions were 'Okay it's indeed quite cui.' It's the lack of professional workmanship that made this nail art fail and I walked out of the nail parlour with that 'I'm never EVER going to come back again' face. Thought I've got a cheap deal but no, The Nail Loft, you've disappointed me.

It's not 1 or 2 but almost everyone who saw this 'art piece' felt sad for me. Alright probably some consolations of 'Okay lah, it's not that bad.......' Time for an upgrade in skills yo.

Ugly nails aside, headed to Arron's for a Pre-CNY reunion dinner with the clique! Felt so much better with a good company (Y)

Opted for a home cooked steamboat dinner with my parents instead of eating out. Love it when they asked me along to the supermarket and I get to pick the ingredients. That awesome feeling when you're having trouble deciding on where to start off as all your favorite ingredients are all over the table!

Aunts coincidentally in similar shades! And they were constantly singing praises of LoveBonito's apparels when they saw my dress; from the pricing to the material to the design. 6th Aunt started shopping at LB's a few days later. Haha!

And so my first birthday celebration was with my group of sec sch peeps at Beer Market after I rushed back from Genting that night. We found instant love for this place since the crazy X'mas night but tell me about it when I made reservations at the sofa area on 7th Jan instead of 6th Jan. #fail

Thank god there was a vacant area eventually. Phew!

Thought I'll go for a change since I had the cod fillet the other time but after this main course, I will opt for the cod fillet again for my next visit. Chicken thigh was normal and foie gras was a bit too much for me. A few mouthful for appetizer was actually more than enough!

Not a big fan of chocolates and vanilla. Hbm enjoyed the dessert though!

Sudden urge to try Ice skating since months back and finally got the chance to do so! The last time I went was when JE's ice skating rink was still around and I was 13 then? How time really FLIES.

Felt so weird as I see many youngsters and kids filling up the rink. And it didn't help further while I skate slowly by the side (so that I can grab hold of the railing anytime if I need to LOL) while many were moving around freely. Gosh. Instantly felt like an old woman in the LAN shop trying to learn how to surf the net while sitting beside a kid playing L4D. My analogy something along that line. Lol.

And the thing was, we met at Pan Pacific Marina cos I assumed there's only one Pan Pacific hotel in Singapore. That epic moment when I found out to my horror that we're supposed to be at Orchard.... #fail

'Plates of Treasures' is a special menu added to the buffet from Jan- Feb. And all of them were so good we ordered rounds after rounds. In fact my stomach was filled mainly due to these dishes!

Mum and I enjoyed the crepes alot! It was probably the only thing I had (that's worthy) for dessert.

Have always been giving the desserts station a miss most of the time. Not so into sweet treats afterall!

The cheese selection corner had a wide variety of choices to offer. Randomly took some since I know nuts about cheese other than the usual cream cheese and mozzarella cheese. Oops.

Birthday is also a day to be thankful for your parents. Loving them more everyday and giving them the most that I can.

Rojak Chicken stood out in the unique rojak sauce with a tinge of spiciness!

Red Garoupa in HK Style will always be on our table most of the time while having zi char dinner. This dish didn't score though.

And there came the main highlight! Must-order, Claypot Crab bee hoon! We were so full after this that the Chilli crabs got be cancelled from our order. Second round the next time! The soup base's tasty and the crab was huge. All the queuing and waiting for more than 2hours seemed dumb but it was worth it after this dish!

Cosy little tea place that's extremely comfortable to hang out with especially with your girlfriends!

Ordered a pot of petit rose which was just enough for the both of us. Tea smells and taste equally nice. Would love to bring some home if it's available for sale!

Seafood's catch in this pasta was fresh and am really happy with the generous portion! Enjoyed both mains that we ordered to bits.

One of the best strawberry shortcakes!!! Major love for the cream and the entire cake just makes you want to postpone your diet to the next day.

Genting & KL

Bought tickets for Dad, Mum & Hbm and headed to Genting last month! Everyone else has been going there but the last time I went was 3 years ago and more than 15 years for Hbm? That explained his tiny bit of excitement to see how much this place has changed over the years.

I initially wanted to opt to travel via Tiger Airways to KL (inclusive of all cost only at $50!!!) -> Train to KL Sentral -> Monorail to Titiwangsa -> 1hr bus ride to First World Hotel, (research all done thanks to hardwarezone forum!) but reckoned that my parents may be uncomfortable with the inconvenience of moving all over the place blah blah blah so I dropped the idea.

I am so going via this route the next time I head to Genting! Though a little dumb moving here and there but I'll definitely go for this then to sit through a 6hr bus ride T.T

Traveled by bus with Five Stars Tour and the 2-way bus ride was comfortable and satisfactory. That tiny screen was updated with recent movies in it so I managed to watch 'Fast & Furious 2' along the way!

Checked in to Resort Hotel as I violently objected to the idea of staying at First World since the rooms are so small. Wanted something different but after staying there for 2 nights, I will go back to First World for the convenience and easy access to everywhere *face palm* #loser #maxfail

Desperately looking for a place to fill our stomach so we settled down at a cafe beside Casino Monte Carlo while waiting for our rooms to be ready.

And oh god all the dishes were crap. Fish head curry looked appetizing but I wasn't impressed that I ended up having stale fish and curry that seemed like they have been kept overnight. Likewise for the veg and tofu and what made these worse was the coarse white rice. Were they even cooked?!

Clean, spacious and well furnished rooms we've got!

And a bonus for having such a scenic view from our window! My worry of not having air conditioners in our room later made me felt like a joker 'cos it was freezing cold at night I dare not even sleep with my usual tee and fbt shorts #loserparttwo

Such freezing nights made me feel like it was 10-15 degrees!

Sorry, I had too much time while waiting for everyone to get ready. Haha!

The so called 'air con temperature' during the day was so shiok to be in!

Dined in at Pizza Hut after a horrible lunch at the random cafe and thought that such chain restaurants will serve some decent food but just by looking at this picture, I guess you will feel like face palming yourself on behalf of me...

I had to force myself to finish one slice :( I guess monopolizing the F&B industry in Genting allowed these kind of standards to exist. So disappointing!

At this juncture, I will say MAC & KFC FTW!

Caught 'Flying Swords of Dragon Gate' in 3D! Not a fan of movies of such genre so I wanted to opt for 'The Darkest Hour' but 3 vs 1 so.... Anyway it was a super long and draggy movie with lots of chimeology chinese phrases.

Woke up to such a beautiful sight! For a moment I felt like one of those 八仙过海 (Legends about the Eight Immortals) characters moving around among the clouds. 何仙姑, maybe?? Hahahaha!

Rise & Shine the next day for a shopping spree in KL!

Paid RM5.90/person for an hour's bus ride to Titiwangsa bus station, where we took the monorail at that station to Imbi (where Times Squares is situated at). It was just 6 or 7 stops away? Pretty convenient and pocket friendly!

There's an alternative where you can take a cab at RM60 though!

Lunch at Times Square's Kim Gary Hong Kong restaurant. My first thought was 'FINALLY A DECENT MEAL!' What a relief!

Back to Genting to catch a performance on ice called - FREEZE. It was a combination of performance from amazingly talented ice skaters, magicians, dancers and entertainer. Wouldn't have shown any interest if not for Hbm but I was so glad to have caught the show at the end of it! Definitely worth the RM89/person!

Breakfast at Hou Mei Cafe and I'm not surprised when my assam laksa wasn't up to standard. Oh well :(

As usual, my countdown to 2012 was spent with the sec sch peeps again and I've lost count of how many times we celebrated New Year together. Another good one. No doubt we had a blast at Temasek Club thanks to Dickee who brought us there!

We did felt extremely weird when we first stepped in 'cos the place was filled with a more matured group. Yea, we were the youngest bunch there! The emcee wasn't that great but I think he did manage to entertain the rest. Generation gap?

After the emcee and belly dance performance, the band took over the stage and rocked away with the recent r&b music that we're all familiar with so we had to hit the dance floor!

It was a different experience from the usual club scenes 'cos like I've said, we were the youngest bunch so throughout the time we were dancing among ourselves and definitely getting the most attention since nobody got so hyper like we do when we hear songs like 'Last Friday Night' or 'Hangover' there. Haha!

Shook or shuffled like nobody's business however ugly we may get since no one will recognize us there anyway (100% assumption)!

Dickee & Edwin got sabotaged to get up on stage for belly dance!

The man in pink hat won a bottle of Jacob's Creek wine in the lucky draw and someone from our group casually shouted 'SHARE LEH~' after he got off the stage.

What's next? He brought the wine to our table and shared with a few of us. Hahaha thank you! :)

Clock struck 12 and a hug for everyone. Smooth sailing year ahead for all of us!

We had the band and dance floor by ourselves after around 1am and we 'owned' the dance floor like some pros. (only when no one's watching LOL)

A day at the beach

Picnic dates are very much enjoyable because effort is pumped in to prepare the food for your loved one and most importantly, it's very pocket friendly! (Provided you manage your budget wisely during the preparation of food...)

Find a shade,

set the mat,

lay the dishes,

savor the food,

enjoy the company.

We did exactly just that. The afternoon was perfect!

He made all the dishes for this picnic and popcorn's one of them. Now we're just short of a laptop and some movies.. Lol!

The weather couldn't be any better for us to be outdoor! Was rather surprised since it has been raining on and off but the sky was so clear that day. Lucky is the word.

We rode pass Road Safety Park and realized it's now opened to the public. It used to be a place for primary school kids to visit and learn more about road safety and I love that place as a kid! Easily about a decade ago since the last visit. A DECADE?!

Made lots of nonsensical squeals and went 'OMG look at the bus stop! SO CUTE! OMG look at the traffic light. Aiyo so small!'

And I was ignored.

Stopped over at the modified petrol station to 'pump full tank' LOL.

Very young at heart. Hahahaha.

Dropped by Old Airport Road for 51 Dao Huay to sum up the lazy afternoon. Shiok!

Moving on to 2012 and My Fabulous Christmas'11

There's a sudden outburst of emotions as I type out this entry on the last day of 2011... So yes, it's #lastdayof2011(twitter trend) and most of us are like, my goodness look at that, the year passed by too fast!

So what's the best way to look back at how 2011 went for me? Photos in Facebook and not to mention, my blog easily gives me an overview of all the happenings.

I kicked start the year by celebrating my 21st on New Year's Day at Infusion@Dempsey. First birthday celebration with all my lovely family, relatives and friends. Received the key to adulthood though I still behave like a child at times. Whatever.

And then the subsequent months were most of my friends' 21st since that was what made up to most of my albums in Fb. Lol. And girlfriends' shoot with the bytches!!! Though thousand miles away from the standards of a professional one, we had fun together :)

I also saw myself travelling the most within months, though they're just neighbouring countries or mainly Malaysia, so to speak. Bangkok in May, Tioman in June, Sabah & Sipadan in July, Langkawi in September, Batam in October and Kuala Lumpur in December.

Then Sis got hitched, Hbm & I crossed the 1st year mark, I've attended NAPBAS and BAMMM! we'll be receiving 2012 in just a few hours' time!

It's amazing how a year was summarized in just a few lines. 2011 wasn't exactly fantastic for me but I had my fair bit of joy spending with people closest to my heart.

Every year, I'll ask for nothing more than to be blessed with good health, grades, family, love and wealth! That's actually more than anything. Lol.

Thank you to everyone of you who pieced up my 2011 and I'm looking forward to an even more eventful/splendid 2012. Keep watching this space!

And NOW, here's how Christmas was for me as celebrations stretched across a few days. It was as fabulous as the people I've spent with. I had a rocking good time and it's one of the best Christmas I've had.

Potluck finally started with our dear Arron who never fail to be long winded with his 'opening speech' and we'll cut his words with 'YA YA YA SO CHEERS! YAY!'

There'll always be a joker during our potluck party every year. It was roast duck from Jin Hao last year and ginseng chicken from Wee Kheng this year. Lol!

Log cake from the host to end the night! It was a great kick start to our Christmas celebrations ahead of us for that week.

Christmas dinner with Hbm at La Cantina. This is one of the restaurants that has been sitting in my to-go list for the longest time and I was dying to try out their crabmeat linguine. Finally did! And no thanks to the weather, we couldn't get the outdoor seats :(

Can't help but to be skeptical of their mushroom cream soup ($8.90) initially, for fear that it might just be another campbell soup wannabe. But I went ahead to give it a shot and hell yeah, their mushroom cream soup was unexpectedly delicious! The portion was good enough for 2 so as not to feel sick of the creamy soup. I'm pretty sure it'll be too much for just 1 and by then, one won't think it's that nice anymore.

Just like the mushroom soup, I didn't expect much for their garlic bread ($5.80). And never will I expect to end up loving this so much! The bread's crispy and soft and I love how tasty the garlic spread was. Definitely not the usual bread you get at cafes. The same old 6 words from me; You. Just. Have. To. Try. It!

Then came the dish that I've been looking forward to set my cutlery on, it's none other than the Linguine Al Granchio($26.90) ! It's crabmeat linguine in creamy tomato sauce. I may have held my expectations too high for this and it didn't turn out to be as great as what I thought it was going to be. It was still good just not so good like what many claimed, imho.

True that when we always say higher expectations lead to greater disappointments.

Most claimed this is a dish that comes with chunks of crabmeat unlike pretentious servings from other restaurants. No leh? I think I got the one with scrapes of crabmeat. Can't deny the fact that creamy tomato sauce really worked well in the dish and the scrapes of crabmeat that I had was some good stuff but my plate was eventually cleared with still a few spoonful of pasta left. Too full for any more creamy linguine with the absence of chunks of crabmeat. Period.

Or maybe it was because of the mushroom cream? Hmm. With the right portion of linguine, creamy tomato sauce and crabmeat, this dish is actually da bomb.

Vongole Spaghetti ($21.90) for him and as usual, it was not bad in his opinion. I've tried a bit and I still prefer Modesto's Linguine Vongole (and I'm missing this dish!). This one's too soupy and the clams were not as tasty.

There were way too much clams to go with the spaghetti. It's a good thing but why wasn't that the case for my crabmeat linguine? Imma typical Singaporean.

Overall a pleasant dining experience and I may come back for the crabmeat linguine again, with outdoor seats!

Dinner at Everything With Fries with the bytches. Great choice indeed. No frills in getting a seat for such a big group and we indulged in some yummy food at only $9.90 per set!

Awesome curry fries with battered fish for me. Can't even finish my set and left 1/3 of the meal gone to waste! It was too filling..

It's our tradition to stuff one another with our handmade cards or goodie bags and I absolutely love it. Ying Ming won all our hearts for putting so much effort in making the card for everyone!

5 of us left for Beer Market while the rest went home. It was like a KL trip part 2 since many things happened at Club Maison the other time but we were pretty sure not to let history repeat itself again. Lol! Can't stop talking about the incident all the time though. It was insanity.

The atmosphere at Beer Market was really high and good! The crowd, the booze and the amazing live band... Kinda regretted not having our countdown there and we arrived too late!

The night still ended crazily with many rounds of drinks and games. I swear it's one of the times where I drank more than what I usually can take. No thanks to some saboteur! But well, I still went home sober. Heh! Nonetheless it was so fun that I woke up the next day hoping for another round soon.

Misson Impossible 4 with hbm on Christmas Day! Got Hbm a Steve Job's Biography as his present on Xmas Eve but he too, bought it on the same day. Tell me about telepathy but at the wrong time. Major BOO!

And it was to Charlotte's for her family's Christmas party!

It was really one kind of awkward when one unfamiliar face suddenly popped out at a family's Christmas gathering but I have to say that her family's a fun bunch to be with! I feel kind of bad for going there with one present for gift exchange but went home with a bag of goodies!

Christmas was such a blast for me! And I've not forgotten about my dearest parents. Christmas presents are 2 coach tickets for Dad & Mum from me. It's to Genting & KL for us next year/week as a birthday trip for the January babies, Dad and I. Awesome and getting all excited!

With that, I'm ending 2011 on a happy note and am all ready to receive 2012. It will be a good year ahead for all of us. Believe!

Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards'11, Kuala Lumpur

When I first got to know about NAPBAS'11 and that bloggers who write an entry to indicate their interests in attending will stand a chance to win the invites, I knew I was keen almost right away (almost cos I need to check if I'm free on that weekend lol) and want to be part of this. On the other hand, I had that typical mindset of 'confirm not easy to win'. Lol

Had the deadline was not extended and Charlene not been urging me to join (though I highly doubt it's possible to win at that time), I wouldn't have given it a shot.

And so, you guys have no idea how thrilled I was when I receive the email from Nuffnang(SG)! Correction, Michelle was with me mugging in the library when I was notified about the email and that was it, my mind was all about NAPBAS after that.

Was totally on cloud nine as I realized Charlene will be going with me as well. So thankful that I had her company because most bloggers knew one another and were already in groups.

Nevertheless, I made a few friends from this trip and couldn't have asked for more than these!

I've only got a few pathetic photos to share, of which those that were taken at the dinner, as most of my friends would have known (thanks to the existence of Twitter) that my camera was partially spoilt at the dinner. Enough of wordy paragraphs! More on that later on...

I was wondering the night before on whether any bloggers will go the extra mile in looking good to get their make up done early in the morning, even if it was to be a long 6hrs of bus ride up to KL. Kudos to their effort but I was overpowered by laziness. Somehow or rather, I feel uneasy sleeping with make up on?

Lydia, one of the Nuffies offering cupcakes from Shiberty to the bloggers on board. Certainly a sweet gesture from Jessica. And oh, Lydia's a really nice young lady to talk to!

Finally arrived at Putrajaya Mariott hotel and we were wow-ing as we walked into huge main lobby. First impression scored! The hotel is situated at the outskirt of KL (appox 45mins drive) and I guess most guests who stayed here were for a short getaway.

Very satisfied with our room! Spacious and most importantly, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable that I think it's >1000 thread count! I'm just kidding. I have no idea about the thread count and stuff. Lol. It's just so comfortable that I find myself 'sinking' into deep sleep the minute I lay myself on bed. 一觉睡到...不想起來!

Room was complete and perfect with a beautiful pool view from our balcony but after taking this picture, we didn't step back into the balcony anymore LOL

And guess what. My camera stopped functioning here. FML.

Here's what happened:

I was in the midst of having my dinner when I asked the waitress to change the diluted orange syrup/juice to a glass of plain water for me. Minutes later, while I was enjoying the stage performance with the camera(for ease of taking photos) & phone(for ease of live tweets) on my lap, what seemed like a gallon of water was poured on me.

NO, what seemed like a gallon of water was poured on ME, MY CAMERA AND MY PHONE. FML X a gazillion times.

I seldom swear and when I do, it's really serious and infuriating!!! ^@$&&($(*)(_!#Q!@#!($^

It all happened out of such a sudden that it took me a short pause before my reflex reaction worked.

And to make it worse, all I received was a short, monotonous apology, leaving me helpless to deal with the situation. I thought the duty manager would have sprang into action (it should be that way, hello this is Mariott?), like offering me to the ladies to get my gown changed or get a warm towel for me or JUST DO SOMETHING but hell NO? He too, came to say 'Sorry ah' and left.

SO SO SO, THAT'S IT?

So am I suppose to carry on eating like as though nothing has happened and watch my camera & phone die off? I was there just for a dinner like every other blogger. Why should I receive such crap and have my mood killed for the rest of the dinner. What about the damage done to my gadgets? No one came to give me an answer. I even had to request for my gown to be sent for dry cleaning. FML X 2.

I understand that the waitress was not to be entirely blamed. Yes we all make mistakes and it was not as though I've not served in banquets before. Such incidents do happen BUT I did no wrong either yo. Something. Needs. To. Be. Done!

And this happened when dinner just commenced. It was just the first day of the trip. Double hurray!

Thankfully the Nuffies from SG and MY were helpful enough to get this matter settled on my behalf. It has been more than a week and I'm still waiting for an answer. So, we'll see how things go.

Thanks to that, nothing appealed to me for the night.

We (Char, Thiang & I) took the coach to Zouk and I can't believe we made 3 new friends while on the way there. It's amazing how all of us clicked right away!

Knocked out in bed at 4-ish and crawled out of it after a few hours for our day tour. Charlene, Thiang and I left at lunch time for Nando's at KLCC ( Lenne was right, it was so much better than Nando's in SG and what's crazier was the pricing. RM14.90 instead of $14.90!) and we cabbed to a flea market at Jaya One for some retail therapy OH YEA.

According to Thiang, the flea market involved more than 100stalls and it's a flea market that we must check it out! 事不宜迟, we hopped into the executive cab at KLCC (Wrong choice of the day. The meter jumped every 5 SECONDS for god's sake) and reached Jaya One after 30mins? Cab fare reached an all time high of RM60. My god!

And indeed, we ended up spending hundreds there! Bought so much stuffs at RM25 or less. It's a pity I've forgotten to take a picture of my buys which I usually do. Argh.

Took a cab back to Mariott and it only cost us RM38. Yea tell me about it. KL's executive cab is equivalent to the Chrysler cab in SG T.T

Back to change up for a chill out at G Tower with the bloggers. The view was great and that's one of the reason why I love rooftop bars like Ku De Ta in MBS/ Sky Bar at Lebua State Tower in BKK.

Back to the hotel for a round 2 session and the night went really crazy with more alcohol and games. Knocked out at 6am!

Can't thank Nuffnang enough for this opportunity given to me. Given a few years ago, no one would have believed or have ever imagined that blogging will bring us to thus far and pay what we bloggers deserve.

I'm back from NAPBAS trip in KL and it was totally a BLAST! Will be blogging about it right after this post very very soon. Unfortunately, I don't have much photos to share about the trip as my camera went for a swim in some orange juice during the dinner on the very first night. Oh sigh. More on that in my next post!

Met up with Char, Xuan and Des for dinner on a chilly Monday night. I'm back at Ardent's again! View about my first visit to Ardent's here.

Instead of the usual eggs benedict, I went for rosti with sausage and bacon. Oh wait, in fact everyone ordered rosti for ourselves! Still loving the cheese sausage and tasty bacon like how I did from the previous visit but I would have preferred the rosti to be crispier.

Please pardon me for the poor resolutions and quality of the photos. No one brought a camera with us! :( Anyway, this is my all time favourite. To-die-for sauteed apple waffles! Am not a professional food blogger and sort so I've only got 6 words to tell my readers 'You just have to try it!!!'

Have been looking forward to a haircut with Von for the longest time and I had to wait for 2 weeks before he's finally free to slot me in for an appointment. Oh finally! The sight of those awful damaged ends really pissed me off every now and then. Loving my new haircut without those frizzy bunch of 'hay'. It has been more than 6years since my hair has gone this short?

Am an avid fan of Ajisen Ramen on every 3rd Monday of the month cos there's 50% off all ala carte ramen! Only for members ($10 for a 1 yr membership) but this $10 is well spent. You can always spot me at one of the outlets on every 3rd Monday. LOL

December's here again!

So it's December once again, one of my favorite months of the year! Always looking forward to Dec-Feb period as it's the most exciting period of the year with celebrations lined up one after another. There's Christmas, New Year, My birthday!, Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day... Can't wait to spend them with my loved ones!

To make up for the upcoming surge in spending power, I have to work doubly hard :/ Unfortunately money don't drop on my hand whenever I reach out for it. I can probably only feel raindrops when I reach out during rainy days LOL. Can't believe my schedule for December's already half filled before it arrived especially my precious weekends, all filled from fri-sun!
So much for complaining the lack of time with him :(

I was mugging in the library with Michie one fine day and was addicted to one of the kpop songs AND happened to chance upon CJ's site that they're opening a class for it. Just the right time! And then here we are, Char & I attending class together.

Cannot wait to finish learning the entire piece. There'll be a recording of the routine at the end of the lessons and I'll upload if possible. Hahahaha.

VW GTI 35th Birthday!

Worked with 19 other hot babes for VW and our job scope was to attract attention as we make noise and royal waves from the bus top to gain awareness of this big event happening over the last weekend in November. Very fun when you see the public's response, some even blew kisses back Haha!

The entire one day experience was great even as I see many unfamiliar faces. It was like a replay scene of Singtel Grid Girls last year for me. Nevertheless, the girls were all easy to get along with and that's probably because we enjoy taking pictures! How easy to break the ice hur? :)

Les Affaires Flash Mob in Town!

2 of my bytches spontaneously joined me for the flashmob when I asked for some response over twitter some time back. It was our first ever flashmob and we received a set of sleepwear courtesy of Les Affaires.

My choice of sleepwear, w/o the cardigan of course. It's seriously madly unbelievably comfortable!!! The material's so soft and thin I almost didn't feel like I was wearing anything. No joke!

Am really surprised how much comfort a set of sleepwear can be because to me, it's just tee, fbt and off to bed. Contemplating to get another set but it's not really cheap!

Hanging around one of the flashmob locations and we decided this poster is the best spot to 'sleep' on. LOL! And then during the activation, one uncle walked passed us and commented 'Wah very nice to sleep hor?' Haha!

Lovely dad and mum will always fetch me to & fro whenever I'm working. More than thankful for them!

Shopping loots from wholesale7.net arrived at my doorstep and I got all so hyped up unwrapping my stuffs in the morning.

All these for less than $100! Really satisfied with the bag and the material didn't disappoint though it's barely $20. But for the clothes, material's as expected. Will focus my buys solely on bags the next round. Yay to more bags!

Andrew's 21st!

Our poor Andrew's 21st happened right smack in the middle of his exams period and he sacrificed the time to celebrate in exchange for more mugging time. It'll all be worth it when you see your final grades!

The sec sch clique had a post celebration with the bday boy @ Ssikkek Korean BBQ (aka 2D1N).

This placed is really packed with people! I walked in at 6.30pm but only able to reserve seats at 7.30pm.

Came back at 7.30pm but table's still not cleared yet and finally got seated after 20mins. So many people were still queueing up and waiting for seats, some koreans even had a commotion with the boss. Scenario's as though the one in Diner Dash. There must be some angry diners turning red and got impatient from all the waiting. Lol. Poor Boss had to deal with all these during peak hours!

Moral of the story? Start your BBQ dinner early!

Been there once and the second visit was equally good or in fact, better! I was only into the chicken, pork, bacon and prawns though.

Looking kind of gross but man, this kimchi jjiggae is UPZZZ. I randomly scooped up one small bowl of it to occupy my stomach first because I was too hungry and the queue was crazy.

After the first mouthful -> cleared the bowl -> filled the largest bowl twice -> another small bowl before we left. I was addicted to kimchi jjiggae! Noemu Matssisoeyo!

Happy belated Birthday, Andrew! May all your wishes come true! The most cliche phrase. Hahahaha.

''Almost Famous'' with Hbm before heading over to Timbre for Pei Yi's 21st. The movie wasn't as good as expected but still, kudos to Michelle Chong for the entire production. We tend to make lots remarks after watching the movie but who knows how much effort has been pumped in to make this successful?

Pris and I were supposed to be tending our flea's booth over the last weekend but we were both caught up with work and leaving our bfs to handle our mess. Really had to thank Hbm, Ling Quan, Mei Xiu and Felix for helping out. They took turns to look after the booth, shifted huge bags of our stuffs to set up and pack home. Thank god for them!
